Funding Sources let you track where your campaign money comes from and how it moves. Think of each funding source as a named ledger.
What is a funding source?
A funding source is a named pool of funds with a balance you track. Examples:

Creating a funding source
Go to Finance → Funding Sources → Add Source. Enter:
Ledger view
Click any funding source card to open its ledger. You'll see every transaction — credits (money in) and debits (money out) — in reverse-chronological order with running balance.
Add transactions directly from the ledger:
Each transaction records the amount, date, a description, and the person who entered it.
Why use funding sources instead of just tracking donations?
Funding sources give you a clear picture of campaign liquidity by category. On election finance reporting day, you'll know exactly how much came from individual donors vs the candidate's own money vs event proceeds — and you'll have the line-item backup for every figure.
